Launch School Fall Semester is Global Prayer Room - NYC’s 10-week ministry school for the Gen-Z to the Baby Boomer generations. During these 10 weeks, students will be immersed in the presence of God. They will be ignited to carry that presence wherever they go and make a lasting impact in the Earth.

Students will dive into the culture of the house of prayer here in New York City. Here in the world's most famous city, students will get equipped by some of our nation's most respected teachers, leaders and creatives, as well as mothers and fathers of the faith. Our school offers several intensive tracks our students can choose from. In the past, tracks have included: Creative Arts, Leadership, Worship and Prayer, Supernatural Ministry and Dance Track. At the completion of our 10-week school, our students will participate in a graduation ceremony and receive a certificate of completion from Launch School of Ministry.

Launch School Fall Semester welcomes everyone from every age and place in the city and the nation. For those who would like to audit classes, they can do so by contacting thelaunch.nyc@gmail.com and pay a fee of $30 per session.

***We are providing a very limited number of full scholarships for Fall Semester! They are first come, first serve.***

1. What should I pack?

Fall Semester students will be staying in New York City. They should pack clothing, bedding (twin-size sheets), toiletries and towels. Students should bring their physical Bible (ESV or NASB preferred), journal, stationery and computer. Students should also bring enough spending money to cover transportation and meals, as well as leisure activities on free days.

2. When should I plan to arrive?

You should plan to arrive either Wednesday, September 29th or Thursday, September 30th. That will give you enough time to rest and refresh before the school starts. It is strongly not recommended, but students may arrive earlier; however, you must make arrangements for housing on your own.

3. Where am I staying?

Space is limited, but there is housing made available through Launch School.  Please contact thelaunch.nyc@gmail.com for more information. The cost for housing is $50/week ($500 total for the entire Fall Semester). If you need help locating affordable housing around the house of prayer, you may also email prayerroom.contact@gmail.com.

4. What is there to do around the city?

New York City is a vibrant city full of activities and fun places to go. You could visit the famous Central Park, take an
iconic photograph on Washington Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn; walk around Times Square - the heart of NYC; explore the Financial District and see countless historic locations. NYC has an expansive public transportation system that covers key attractions in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.

5. Will there be free time?

Absolutely! We want our students to have time to enjoy the city. We have designed a schedule that allows our students free time to enjoy the city and to fellowship with new and accompanying friends

6. What are the costs?

Fall Semester tuition costs $320. The cost of housing made available through the school is $50/week ($500 total for the semester). Space is limited.

7. What does tuition cover?

Tuition covers all classes and workshops. Students are required to purchase track-specific books and reading materials separately (syllabus will be sent upon acceptance to the school).

8. Is transportation included?

Transportation is not included in the registration. There will be a shuttle from GPR-NYC’s residence (The Launch Pad) to the prayer room every day. We encourage students to get an MTA card. Please take into consideration traffic and bus/subway delays when traveling to the prayer room.

9. Are there any rules?

Yes. GPR-NYC abides by a Nazarite vow and lifestyle. As we look at Numbers 6:1-21, Scripture speaks of the consecration one makes before the Lord to be separate. We believe we have the honor of choosing a lifestyle of consecration and being set apart. We desire to host the pure glory of God without any mixture of the world (ex. clubs, alcohol, smoking, sexual sin, etc.) While we do not judge, we choose a lifestyle of full devotion to God being filled with Him alone. Fall Semester students are to model this community lifestyle while they are enrolled and encouraged to continue after graduation.

10. Are there any concentration tracks?

Yes. Our students have the opportunity to choose from 5 tracks: Creative Arts, Leadership, Worship & Prayer, Supernatural Ministry and Dance.

11. Will there be a certificate?

Yes! Our students will participate in a graduation ceremony at the end of Fall Semester. They will receive a certificate of completion from Launch School of Ministry.

12. Are there COVID-19 precautions?

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, Global Prayer Room-NYC has taken all necessary CDC precautions to stop the spread of this virus. Our facilities are well equipped with masks, hand sanitizers and gloves. Upon entering the building, you will be temperature-checked and given hand sanitizer. We encourage all of our staff and students to maintain the utmost hygiene and to stay home in the event they are feeling sick.

13. Can I enroll online?

Unfortunately, we currently do not offer online classes.

14. Can I audit some classes?

Absolutely. You can register for any Fall Semester class for a fee of $30/session. Students must first fill out an application form.

15. What if I want to sponsor a student to attend Fall Semester?

Yes, of course! You are more than welcome to sponsor a student and cover their tuition, partially or fully. Please email prayerroom.contact@gmail.com for more information on tuition sponsorship.
